sometime earlier this week, we had a xmas dinner at ian's place after everyone had finally returned home from overseas! :D haha... we made a nice dinner.. carbonara, chicken, vvv good salad, pizzas, quite a few and i can't remember what. and then, desserts.. :D hs and me helped make eggnog! :) and of course.. hs was being poser-ish :p


then me fish and mich were making chocolate fondue.. wah, mich just kept picking off at the foods.. tsktsk

what's with stupid cinema goers now adays? all behaving like thrash.

the last 3 movies i watched were really bad experiences, not because the movies were bad, in fact, the movies were excellent, just tt there were morons to spoil it. when i watched Flags of our Fathers, there was this person talking so loudly and laughing at the stupidest things, repeating sentences from the movie, as if in great disbelief tt the screenwriter came up with such brilliant lines. ARRGH. so i hollered, shut up please. and HE had the audacity to tell me to go out of the cinema and talk abt it. i said no, if he wanted, i could do it after the movie, which i had every intention to finish watching. but no, he had to clamber all over, and crouch next to me to have his discussion. bullshit! and he dared to accuse me of being rude when he was the one with no etiquette whatsoever, and clambering over like tt? unbelievable.

then the next movie, Snow Cake, in the barely filled PictureHouse of the cathay.. naturally, if you talk, it'd be very obvious since the usually basal chattering is absent in the very small cinema. but these 2 aunties were talking in canto so loudly as if afraid no one could understand them. and after many pple shuushing them, and someone even saying 'please lower your volume' nothing happened. they just feigned ignorance. dun tell me they dun understand english, cuz the movie had no subtitles. damn, those women even started counting the no. of pple in the cinema after the show ended!! as if to say, wow, so few pple.

i watched Curse of the Golden Flower on the same day as Snow Cake, making it all the more infuriating. before the show even started, there were rowdy pple shouting cb, and whatever other vulgarities. then, when Jay Chou appeared, everyone burst into laughter.. i was like, fine, its kinda funny. BUT THEN, for no reason whatever, pple continued to laugh! like when this girl discovered tt the crown prince with whom she's been slping with is actually her brother, pple started laughing.. and not just like a few isolated pple, but a lot?! wth. it totally spoils to mood. sighs.. and well of course, all the cell phones going off, and pple answering and then pple shusshing them even more loudly. maybe i should just rent dvds next time.

my last post before i fly off for italy! so bear w me.. :p its been a fun filled past dunno how many days.. probably did many more things, but i shall just write those tt have pix la since i dun have tt good a memory.. ;) note: i think i'd be gone from 11th-20th, if u've anything impt, u can email or sms me.. i'd reply.

so on wed after sch, went w ian, mich and weili to this place in liang court for lunch. shall not talk abt the embarrassing process we went thru before getting there.. ;) but yeah, it was this jap restaurant and it was good! i had some black pig dunno what ramen.. the pork was sliced so thinly and it didn't have the stinky taste which i hate! the soup was delicious too... was excellent! after which, i went to have a go at Next, well, it was an interesting experience.. the legendary 15min hairwash ian always raves abt was indeed quite pleasant... :) though an overly talkative hairwasher made it v hard to relax.. haha.

zp and i went to watch the mayday concert tt evening.. it was sooo slow to start cuz there was this old man, chen sheng (陈升), whom i've no idea who the hell he is.. and he went on and on, boring me to death.. i think i actually fell aslp.. :X all the aunties and uncles were thrilled though.. OH WELL. after 1 whole freakum hour.. the next act came on.. it was ping guan (品灌）.. much better and FAR MORE CONTEMPORARY obviously.. haha. though i didn't know many songs, i appreciated his smooth and soothing voice, and his excellent live performances!! and FINALLY, after 2 hours of waiting, the arena was certainly, more than warmed up, and mayday (wu yue tian) finally appeared, to great cheers and applause. their songs were certainly the high-ish kinda, pumping up the energy levels!! intially ah xin was spot on with his vocals, but i think after too much shouting, his voice waned, and he was kinda off tune for many songs after tt.. but well, they made up for it with all their audience interactions and fantastic band members :) and many happy announcements too, ah xin's bday, and 2 of the band members expecting children.. haha

after the concert, i had to rush down to ian's place! was the last to arrive for the stayover.. reached there to find everyone in darkness, trying to watch a movie. HAHA, too bad, i had other plans.. and took out my camera and started flashing shots everywhere.. :P

the next day when we all woke up.. haha. i dunno how the rest managed to stay up to watch this movie until like 6+ or 7 and still woke up at 10??! i fell aslp shortly after they started watching at like 5+am... i always need TOO much slp

so basically, we just watched 2 movies, went to kiliney for supper.. the fish soup was quite good! :) and yeah, gotta zoom around in mich's WRX again.. quite shiok.. :p and played cita-dels (must make the ta sound like teh and dels sound like ders.. haha, nvm).. yup, and then there was some neverwinter nites and more beyonce vids.. haha. fun! its been quite long since i had a stayover.. next time i should bring xbox and PS2 for more fun! :)

yup.. so tt's some of the more interesting things i did.. among the many many shopping trips and eating escapades. haha, shit, i'm growing fat and fatter!! (yeah i wish). but anw, this week, i also celebrated gary's bday at settlers... :) bought an awfully chocolate cake.. yummy as always... :D

so below is one of the many many trips to orchard after sch.. this was at starbucks one day, hiding out from the rain, and we realised tt we wearing 2 pairs of identical footwear!! pooja and weili's haviannas, and ian's and my shoes.. ok, totally pointless, but well.. :P

ehh, this was dinner, or rather, post dinner, looking for dessert one day at liang seah street. was with wanping (wp), pinchuan (opc), and kwang yew (sky!!).. haha. fish and co for dinner.. overpriced, as usual, but the black pepper stingray was nonetheless, really quite yummy. the pepper sauce was spicy and pungent!! :D yes, to satiate our never ending appetite, we headed down for dessert... traditional chinese dessert, what a nice change up from all the super fattening ice cream and cakes and mud pies, etc.

among the four of us, we ordered quite a lot.. papaya double boiled in milk, barley beancurd skin with gingko nuts (super good!!), aloe vera lime, something with waterchest nut.. i loved tt one too! and there was some mango-ish thing too.. all really palatable.. :)

after which, we decided after like forever, to go to this hongkong cafe for dinner. the cake was pre ordered and left in my house.. so i had to make a detour to get it, and sped like mad so as to not make the rest wait. i was shocked to see wanz there as i got out of my car.. it was supposed to be a surprise afterall! haha. but somehow, she was sooo blind, tt she didn't see me carrying it, even after we entered to cafe.. ;) so it was still a surprise.. haha.

yup, i've also managed to KTV on tues w wp, opc and hs.. was really cheap man! haha.. $12 for 4h at nite... woohoo! kbox (katong box) is good.. ;) arrgh, am sleepy cuz of the stayover at ian's.. i shall go slp and rite whatever else next time.. haha
